The struggle/The Reason why we exist: Youth aged out of foster care is one of the fastest-growing homeless populations in the country. This population are vulnerable to sex trafficking, drugs and illiteracy. Even with the assistance of government and nonprofit agencies, life is a struggle for these youth. Without moral support and stabilized housing, many youth aged out of foster care experience difficulty easing into independence. Unfortunately, they are likely to be incarcerated, injured, unemployed, homeless or dead when exiting the foster care system. Fortunately, the struggles stop with Valor Living.
